Four Ball Bag There is more to choosing a bowling bag than finding a pretty color [4] . Although bowling bags store balls and shoes, bowling bags also store towels, grip cream, wrist supports, etc. [5] . Bowling bags come in a variety of styles whether it's a one, two, three, or four ball bag which is illustrated on this web page. The quality of the bowling bag will last a bowler for years if a bowler consider three things when choosing a high-quality bowling bag. (1) Asthetics; such as color, logos, surface characteristics; (2) structure; which includes materials, base, hardware, shoulder straps, handles, etc.; and (3) features; like roominess, extra pockets, compartments, etc.
Studies were conducted over the years to determine what made up a high-quality bowling bag [4] . The studies found that color was not as important. Men basically chose black while women chose brighter colors.
Three Ball Bag The structure of the bowling bass was found to be extremely important. Bowlers prefer a bag that had substance such as the bag being able to stand up on its own. High-quality bowling bags are made with polyurethane or PVC [4] . These materials provide additional strength, water repellency and structure. PVC is found to be more durable.
The hardware of the bag is extremely important because it must be sturdy enough to withstand considerable movement and heavy-duty usage, especially with double and triple ball bags [4] .
Two Ball Bag Shoulder straps that go all the way down the bag is found to provide maximum support and are anchored with cross-stitching [4] . The contour and thickness of the shoulder pads is a personal preference. However, the bowler's shoulder pads should be comfortable and not slip out of position.
Bowling bags that have handles must be wide and extremely well attached to the bowling bag [4] . This is usually accomplished by box or cross-stitching.
One Ball Bag It was also found that the ball bases or cups should be strong and deep enough to keep the balls from moving around [4] . All bowling balls should have a sturdy bottom board that prevents sagging and early wear and tear.
Zippers on bowling bags should be durable and well sewn to maintain strength and functionality [4] .
Bowling bags that have shoe compartments, name tags, etc are found to be personal preference and should be considered be each bowler [4] .
