Candy was surprised to see Mr. Johnson instead.
"I'm here to pick you up, Miss Candy."
"Johnson, to pick me up? I'm going back to the Audrey's mansion? But i like it here, Sister...Miss Pony...the children...I don't wish to go anywhere, I just want to stay here."
"Please, sit down, Miss Candy. This is Mr. William's orders. Please go with me."
"No! I don't want to remember what happened to Anthony anymore. I don't want to go back to that place."
"There is no one there. Even Madam Aylo has returned to the Audrey's mansion in Chicago. Mr. William wants to send you to a private school in london."
"(London...If i go there, it won't be easy coming back to Pony's Home.) I don't want to go! You always say about Uncle William's orders! If he wants to say something, he should come here and say it to me himself!"
"Miss Candy, Mr. William means good."
"Don't force anyone who doesn't want to go to that place! Boss doesn't want to go anywhere...Please stay!", Johnny cried.
"Sir Stear and Sir Archie have already gone to England. Here's their letter.", Mr. Johnson handed Candy a letter.
"Candy, How are you? We planned to go see you but Stear's car wouldn't cooperate, so we left ahead. We hope to see you in London soon." (Archie)
"Candy, if you don't come, our days in London will be so boring. And Grandma Aylo is not here...please come to London and study with us. I gave Mr. Johnson a present for you. It's a life saver." (Stear)
"Candy, don't trust Stear's inventions..." (Archie)
"Shut up, Archie! Anyways, see you in London!"

On the boat...
"Happy New Year, Johnson! *hic*"
"Miss Candy, don't drink too much. It might not be so comfortable."
"No, no...it's really nothing.", she said, but actually she is a bit buzzed. "Wah! It's so hazy out here on the deck! (4 days and i'll be in London. We're slowly going away from Pony's Home and the Audrey's mansion...England...What kind of place is it? Stear and Archie will be there, with those two, any place would be exciting and fun...It's so cold out here and the haze is getting thicker and thicker...)"
Then suddenly, she sees something...someone..."Anthony!"...she thought, but it wasn't him. "He looks so much like Anthony...Wonder who he is? He doesn't have blond hair and he's much taller than Anthony. Oh! He's crying! Who is he?". He walks up to him...
"I...I'm sorry, I just wanted to say hello. You seem sad..."
"Sad? Are yout talking about me? Hahahah! She says I look sad, hahahah!"
"What's so funny?", Candy tells herself. "I thought he was crying a while ago."
"There's a party inside, you came out for a walk?", the stranger said.
"I don't like parties.", Candy replied.
"I bet you couldn't find a dance partner, isn't that right, Freckles?", he said.
Candy got ticked off, "It's not like that!", she said to him.
"Don't be angry, getting angry will only make your freckles more obvious.", he teased her. "Aah, there are so many!".
More upset, she replied, "Look, i'm sorry, but i like my freckles and i'm thinking about how to get more! You don't have a single one, what a shame!"
He still teased her, "Will you defend your nose too?"
*Argh!* "Of...of course!", she replied, and then suddenly, someone called her name. "Miss Candy!"
The stranger looked at Candy and asked, "Are you Candy? Well, Happy New Year, freckles!", and he left. Candy is still angry about this encounter.
Mr. Johnson appeared, and Candy asked, "A...hmm, Johnson, who was that person?"
"You mean, Sir Grandchester? I didn't know you knew him."
"No, i don't know him. His name is Grandchester, huh?"
"Yes, he came from a noble family in England."
"Hmm, so he's from a wealthy family."
"What did you ask about him?", Johnson asked.
"Hmm, he reminds me of Anthony...he looks like him..."
"Looks like Sir Anthony?"
"But i know...he's totally different...Anthony is much more...much better!"
Candy didn't feel like going back to the party, she just wanted to go to her room. Johnson offered to bring her hot tea, and was walking away, when Candy
suddenly called out his name. "Johnson! When the ship arrives in England, where are you going to go?"
"I'm going back to Mr. William's place."
"Where does Uncle William live?"
"In many places, because he is a very busy man..."
"Hmm...Johnson, it's because of him that my life has changed...but i don't know a single thing about him, and if i write him a letter, he doesn't reply back."
"I understand how you feel. Mr. William only writes letters during urgent matters. When he thinks it's important to see you, he will see you then. Just wait for that time to come. Miss Candy, please don't worry about such things, just study hard. Just be happy and grow up to be a nice young lady and Mr. William will be happy and proud.", and left the dock.
"Lady? If i became a very nice lady, will Uncle William want to meet me then?", she thought. Then she started thinking about Grandchester..."I thought you were more like Anthony...i was wrong...a big mistake. He doesn't look like Anthony. Anthony..."
Johnson was standing alone on the other side of the dock. "Miss Candy is so hard to deal with. When she looks at me the way she does, so sincere, so earnest, i almost might have told her the truth...If she only could forget about all those things troubling her mind right now, and about Anthony, everything would be better..."
Finally, they have arrived in England. Stear and Archie were waiting for them. Candy was very happy to see them again. Stear brought out something out, something that looked like a gun.
Candy curiously asked, "Stear, what is that?"
"Just watch! When i push the trigger, something colorful will come out..." But nothing happened.
"Hmm, what a pity Stear, what's wrong with your new invention now?", teased Archie.
"The car is ready, let's get in now.", Johnson said.
They arrived at St. Paul's Academy.
"Come Candy, this is the prison.", said Archie.
"So, you are miss Candy Audrey. The principal is expecting you", said the nun who came to the gate to welcome them.
The nun guided Candy to the principal's office, "Sister Gray is the principal.", she told her.
Sister Gray welcomed Candy. Candy thought to herself that Sister Gray looked like a man. Sister Gray asked the others to leave the room.
"I'm Candy's escort and these two gentlemen here are her cousins.", said Johnson.
But Sister Gray cut them short and told them that she needed to have a word with Candy. She explained to Candy that St. Paul Academy is a good respected school, and that Candy will get the best education. She also included that the two gentlemen who said were her cousins are not allowed to mingle with her inside the school premises.
"The boys disciplinarian is already very strict, but this sister is worse.", Archie and Stear said to each other.
"I have to go now, please take care of yourself, Miss Candy.", said Johnson and left them.
Sister Gray continued with her speech towards Candy..."Students here must make their school proud...We give a lot of hard lessons here so that students will learn more...".
In her new room, Candy thought "I didn't know that i couldn't speak to Stear and Archie in this place...Studying hard every day..."thought Candy.
"Hi, how are you? I'm Patty, and my room is just next door.", said a girl coming into Candy's room.
"I'm Candice White. They all call me Candy."
"Pleased to meet you, Candy. I was wondering who would occupy this very beautiful room...", said Patty.
Then suddenly Candy asked Patty if she could take her to the boys dormitory. Patty panicked! But Candy explained that her cousins are there, and so Patty told her where it is, but warned her that if the Sisters catch her, she'd be in big trouble. Candy still insisted in going, then she saw a tree outside the window, and thought that she could climb it and go to the boys dormitory that way.
When Patty and Candy were going on a tour of the school, all of a sudden, Candy spotted a familiar face. Liza was surprised to see Candy, and Patty was surprised Liza and Candy already knew each other. Patty told Liza and her friends how she stopped by the special room to meet the new occupant, and Liza was furious that Candy was given the special room. However Liza's friends were all over Candy, telling her how beautiful the room is and how lucky she is, etc.
"Don't go near her! That girl lived in a very poor orphanage, and she was our maid before, and took care of the horses.", said Liza.
So Liza's friends stepped away from Candy, saying that they hate stable girls, and Liza kept telling them how Candy tricked someone in order to become an Audrey, and blamed her for Anthony's death. After making Candy feel awful, Liza and her friends left, taking Patty along with them, telling her not to be making friends with a girl like Candy, because that's just a waste of time, etc.
Next morning at Candy's first day of school, once the bell was heard, everybody was supposed to wake up and get ready for church. However, Candy was late. She hurried, and once she got there, she saw that everybody else was wearing black uniforms.
Then, she bumped into Lisa and Neil, and heard how everybody was talking about her, "...she came from an orphanage...how did she become an Audrey?...this is irritating, i didn't expect an illiterate will be studying here...she doesn't even wear the proper uniform..."
Candy was humiliated, but suddenly she heard someone calling her. It was Archie and Stear. They asked her why she wasn't wearing the other uniform, and explained to her that the black uniform was to be worn for church. Candy was going to go and change quickly, when she was stopped by Sister Gray.
"Go back inside the church! It's already time for prayers! And Candy, this uniform must only be worn during classes.", reminded Candy.
"Yes, yes...i'm sorry. I made a mistake. I'll be more attentive next time.", replied Candy, embarassed.

Once they were all in the church, they were about to start prayers, when someone suddenly closed the church door with a loud BANG!
"Terrence Grandchester! You are late. Go and sit down.", ordered Sister Gray.
But Terry had a smile on his face. Sister Gray asked him what was so funny, and he said that it was nothing, just that he wanted to see how the others prayed. How they are all properly dressed, and well behaved, but you don't know if they are really praying or not. Sister Gray got really angry and kicked Terry out of the church. Terry happily agreed, and as he was leaving he said "I never have said a single prayer in my life anyways. Dear schoolmates, pray hard!", and he left.
There were a lot of rumors after Terry left..."What kind of person is he?...He's the son of a very wealthy family, the Grandchesters...He's a noble man?...He's always like that, he always violates the rules on purpose...So annoying, he made us look like fools!...I think he really wanted to make Sister Gray angry...Why will he do that...".
"Be silent!", said Sister Gray. "We will extend our praying time!"
Later, Candy was in the outdoor premises of the school, trying to get her shoes off because they were very uncomfortable, when she found Lisa and her friends on the other side.
They were talking about Terry. "Terrence is the number one delinquent here...he likes to drink and smoke...but his grades are good...he doesn't want to make friends with anybody...but he's so cute...what's interesting about this Terrence anyways?...Because of him, we stayed very long in church..."
Candy, lying under a tree, was wondering what was so interesting about him anyways. She really didn't want to meet him on the ship, and how finding out that he studies in the same school as her, it was annoying her. She thought of how Terry resembles Anthony so much...how Terri was crying on the ship...but today he's totally different.
Suddenly, Terry appeared, and he shocked her. But someone suddenly called his name, saying that the principal was looking for him, so he left without a word to Candy.
"Didn't he remember who i am? He was even very unfriendly to me on the ship! He made me look like a fool!...freckles, he called me...", Candy was angry.
Then, Archie and Stear appeared. They were looking all over for Candy. They made a plan of having Candy come to their room later tonight, and Archie warned her about the one person living next to them. It was Terry. Archie and Terry had a fight this morning, because he forgot something and went back for it, but opened the wrong door, and Terry hit him on the face and told him not to go near his room. Even though Archie told Terry that he made a mistake and apologized, Terry was very mean to him. Archie wasn't finished with him, but Terry walked away, leaving Archie's friends pulling him back so they wouldn't get into a bigger fight
"I really don't like that bastard.", said Archie. "Me too", replied Candy.
"Candy, you know him?", they asked her, and they started talking about him some more.
In the classroom, Candy suddenly finds out there was homework. "I didn't know we had an assignment..", said Candy.
"You were to memorize a french poem, and i had already distributed the notes!", said the nun.
"The notes??.. Ooh, this is another trick by that brat, Lisa!", realized Candy.
Candy tried to defend herself, but nobody believed her. The nun told her to write on the board "I'm telling a lie" until the end of class, but Candy replied loudly "I'm not lying!!! I am not lying! Everybody in this class knows it!". But the other girls just turned away.
"I hate these french poems. I'll go to Stear's place tonight to ask for help", said Candy, walking in the woods, when suddenly Neil played a trick on her and made her fall. "Aaah! Neil! What are you doing! That's dangerous, you know!", said Candy.
"Long time no see, huh? I didn't expect to meet you here again", said Neil with a grin in his face.
"Yeah, i'm really disappointed to meet you guys here too", Candy replied back.
The other guys who were with Neil started criticizing her: "She's a stable girl, huh? Let's play with the horse! Let's pretend she's a horse! Hahah, go away from this school, you orphan girl!"
"So what if she's an orphan, you bastard!", someone said suddenly. "Come on, say it one more time, you bastards!". It was Terry. "Come on, say it!", repeated Terry, grabbing Neil by his shirt.
"Help!", cried Neil helplessly.
"It isn't her fault that she's an orphan!", added Terry. "Now stay out of my sight!". Neil and his friends left as quickly as possible.
"He protected me...", Candy was thinking, when she realized Terry was walking away. "Ah, wait..."
"What's the matter?", asked Terry, facing back at Candy.
"Thank you, I...I...", Candy was saying, when Terry interrupted her. "You really don't have to thank me, because i didn't do that to protect you."
"I just hate people like them, that's all.", said Terry, when he saw Candy was staring at him. "Why do you look at me that way, huh? Do you like me, Freckles?", teased Terry.
"He...he remembers me, from the ship...", thought Candy.
"Come on, let's go over there where there's no one around...", was saying Terry.
Then suddenly, Candy got upset: "Who wants to go with you!"
"Okay! I don't want to be with a freckle-faced girl either. Bye!", and then Terry started to walk away.
"W...what? What? I was really being sincere thanking him and he just...", was saying Candy softly, then "My name is not freckles! My name is Candy Audrey! The next time i hear you call me freckles again, i won't ever forgive you!!", yelled out Candy.
At the stable, Terry was feeding a horse, thinking "Candy Audrey? I still like the name freckles...", when suddenly someone approached him.
It was the principal, "Your father has begged us three times to not to expel you from this school, we expect your cooperation. Grandchester, you sly...", and suddenly Terry got on the horse and rode off.
In her room, Candy was looking out the window, thinking to herself "That was the first time I saw Neil so scared in his entire life...Terry...There are some points that he resembles Anthony, but his attitude is totally different...Anthony, no one can ever replace you...There is only one Anthony in this world! And prince, where are you now? I'm so far away from America..."
Candy went out to Stear and Archie's room. There, she found out that Annie was going to attend St. Paul Academy too. "Annie...Annie is coming..."
"Annie has a deep affection for Archie here, so she followed him here...", teased Stear.
"That's not true!", replied Archie.
"I really don't have anything to do with her, it's just that her father and the Audreys are usually horseback riding together...", said Archie.
The next morning, Candy bumped into Archie out in the grounds..."Hi Candy, are you going to the laboratory?"
"Archie, yeah! Where's Stear?
"He's at the laboratory. He's currenly inventing something that could connect our rooms together!", said Archie.
"That's great, but i'm afraid i can't go because i'm going to my little pony's hill", said Candy.
Clueless, Archie asked: "And what is that?"
"It's the small hill behind the school", replied Candy and left.
"Little pony's hill, huh? She even gives name to those things. You're always the same Candy...", thought Archie to himself as he saw Candy walking away.
At the little hill, Candy was happy, because she couldn't see the school or the dormitory from there. Then suddenly she smelled smoke. "Water, i need some water...water!!"
Then suddenly, "What's the matter, mountain girl? What are you so nervous about?", it was Terry, with a cigarrette between his lips.
"Who are you calling a mountain girl! I don't like the name mountain girl!", said Candy furious.
"Last night, there was a white rope and there was a monkey...", said Terry.
Terry saw Candy last night sneaking up on Stear and Archie's dormitory.
"Freckles...mountain girl...isn't that enough or do you want to be called freckled mountain girl?", teased Terry.
"My name is Candy Audrey! I won't accept any other name, got that?! That's Candice White Audrey!", replied Candy.
"It's all very clear to me now, freckles!", kept teasing Terry.
Then the school bell rang and Terry asked Candy if she wasn't going back to class. Candy realized that she hasn't reviewed her notes and blamed Terry for it.
"If I make a mistake, it will be all your fault! You're so annoying! Bear in your mind that my name is Candy, Candice White Audrey! And this is my little pony's home and this is my little forest! Don't trespass on my place! And study well in your afternoon class, got that?!", after saying that, Candy turned around and went to class.
"How dare she orders me around!", Terry said to himself.
Candy got to class before the nun. Annie was there, but she wasn't sitting next to Candy. Annie found out that Candy was adopted by the Audreys and started to worry about Archie and Candy...Annie is intimidated with Candy, because she feels that Archie is giving much attention to Candy and not herself. Annie treats Candy like if they have just met for the first time.
Archie and the others don't know Annie also came from the Pony's home and that she grew up with Candy. Annie is sensitive about Archie and Candy's actions. Archie shows his affection to Candy very well and that worries Annie.
The two brats, Elisa and Neil mentioned that Archie and Candy are very close, and Candy realizes that they are trying to make Annie jealous and sad.
Archie walked Annie back to her room because she wasn't feeling so well.
While walking, Annie said to Archie: "Archie, I really really like you. Mama wanted me to become a nice wife someday. Archie..."
But Archie interruped her and said: " Annie, I have a favor to ask. I hope you and Candy can be friends. She's a good person. Though she's an orphan, she's really a nice girl. If you'll be nice to her, i'd be very happy, ok?"
With that, Annie felt really sad and ran to her room. "I really like Archie very much, but...he doesn't understand how i feel...Archie, i can't do it, i can't make friends with Candy. Candy...you're always like that...fun, loving, and you'll always have everybody's attention...", cried Annie silently.
"There are so many things that happened...Annie likes Archie, i realized that at the tea party this afternoon. Annie followed Archie in London, they're a perfect pair. I really want Annie to be happy...", was thinking Candy, while lying on her bed.
Then suddenly someone came through her window. It was Terry. He didn't realize it was Candy's room. Terry is injured and bleeding.
Candy: "What happened?"
Terry: "I taught them a lesson, what a bunch of losers. There were many of them, it's a good thing that a "man" helped me. That person is nice, he brought me here..."
Candy: "You've been drinking, Terry!"
Terry: "Do you smell that?"
Candy: "Cut that out! You've broken the school's rule! This wound...made by a knife??"
While taking care of his wounds, Candy wonders why Terry does this. He's living a comfortable life and he's not poor...
Terry: "It hurts! Please be gentle, ok?"
Candy: "I know what i'm doing!"
Terry: "You're taking your revenge against me, mountain girl."
Candy: "It's you who called me freckled mountain girl, remember?"
Terry: "I'm sorry, i want to rest for a while...that "man" mistook this as the boys dormitory, i'm sorry for causing you trouble..."
Candy: "Don't talk anymore or your wounds...I have an idea! Terry, i'll go outside to look for some medicine."
Terry: "Don't do a stupid thing like that, don't mind me anymore!"
Candy: "I can't do that, it's lucky for you that i'm not one of those girls who faints upon seeing blood. I'll be back as soon as i can, get some rest ok?", and she run out of her room.
Outside St, Paul's Academy, someone called out her name. It was Albert. He wasn't wearing a beard anymore.
Albert: "It's been a long time, Candy."
Candy: "It's really you! I'm so glad! I thought i'd never see you again here in London. Now we're so close, Albert..."
Albert: " Ok, don't cry anymore, let me see your cute smile...You've become a very beautiful lady now, Candy!"
Candy: "You too"
Albert: "I became a beautiful person too?"
Candy: "No, you've shaved off your beard. Wearing that beard made you look like a grandfather"
Albert: "That's too much! I'm only 20+ years old, you know? I'm working in the zoo right now."
Candy: "Zoo? Then Popi is with you too!"
Albert: "What a coincidence that we met here"
Candy: "Yeah, in London. We're both not in America...I'm here to buy some medicine..oh, the medicine, i forgot! Albert, my friend is wounded and i need some medicine, where can i find it?"
Albert: "Wounded? There are a lot of people wounded tonight. How is he?"
Candy: "He's bad..."
Albert: "Ok, i know where to get the medicine, let's go there now!"
Back in Candy's dormitory, Terry wakes up. "I've fallen asleep! I feel much better now..." Candy had taken care of his wounds while he was asleep. "That mountain girl...she always messes around with other people's lives...I have to go now...I'll borrow the rope Candy used to get to Archie and Stear's room." And he climbed out the window.
Candy came back to her dormitory and didn't find Terry. "Aahhh, that fool, he's wounded, and i bought him some medicine, but he just ran off!"
Candy was actually really happy that night. She couldn't believe that she would meet Albert here in London. She remembered how Albert had comforted her whenever things went wrong. It's good to have him here, she thought, and Candy plans to visit him soon.
The next morning, Candy went out and laid on the grass..."The buds are starting to bloom, just like in Pony's hill...hmm, i'm hungry!"
Suddenly someone said "Girl laying down on the grass...what a beautiful sight..."
"Terry!, cried out Candy.
Terry got angry at her because she said she went out late the other night to get him some medicine. But he didn't want any sympathy from her. Terry had once experienced someone else saying that to him - that she had done it for him - but she had lied. That's why he got upset at Candy.
But Candy doesn't know this..."Okay, if that's what you want, then goodbye!", and she walked away.
Later that night, Candy was supposed to go to Archie and Stear's room. Archie was going to leave a lighted candle for her to find the correct room, but the candle light was blown off by the wind. Candy mistakenly entered the next room, which happened to be Terry's room!
In the room, Candy found a picture of Elenor Baker, a broadway actress in America. Her face on the picture was crossed off and there was a writing "Go to hell!"
And in the back of the picture, it said: "To my beloved son, Terry" "My son...Terry. My son...Terry..."
Then Terry entered the room.
In Candy's mind, "Terry is Elenor Baker's son, the famous broadway actress...Terry? Terry's eyes...he's not looking at me...he's looking far far away...Terry, you're not angry with me, are you? Your eyes...why are they in pain?"
Terry took Candy by her shoulders and warned her not to tell about this to anyone and dismissed her.
Candy: "Terry...I'm so sorry...i won't tell this to anyone, i promise."
Then she went to Archie and Stear's room. In their room, she found another picture of Elenor Baker. Then she saw a picture of Anthony. "Anthony is smiling...how wonderful...he's smiling..." She asked Stear if she could keep his picture.
Archie: "Candy hasn't forgotten Anthony...I envy him. I envy Anthony. I really don't understand my feelings, but recently, after Annie came, i realized that Candy...I..."
In the meantime, Terry: "Why didn't i throw the picture away when i had the time!"
He went to see Elenor: "Terry, it's been a long time...don't just stand there...oh, my son...but you must not just come here. No one must know that you're my son. Don't misunderstand, Terry, i love you! You're Grandchester's son, do not tell anyone that you're my son..."
Terry: "Why did i go to her for? What was i thinking, going to that woman? What?! Is it because i wanted to see her? See her, then what? I finally met her. I knew this would happen..."
Inside the Grandchester's mansion, "Ah, you're back? I thought you're never coming back. You're really the son of a no good american actress!", said a woman.
Terry: "Huh, Madam Grandchester, if you continue to be like that, you'll look worse than a pig..."
Madam: "You...how dare you! I'll never accept you here!"
Terry went to Mr. Grandchester and asked him "Why? Why don't you talk to me?! If you love that american woman, just for a little bit, if you really did truly love her, then why...me...Damn you, go to hell!", and he ran out of the house.
In the meantime, Candy was in her room, looking at Anthony's picture. "The cross and the Audrey's medallion...and then Anthony's picture...my 3 most valuable treasures...They're still fresh in my memory...Anthony...I can't go back to those happy moments...If they fox hunting didn't happen, if it weren't for that trap..."
Then she thought she heard the sound of a horse: "Anthony!", cried out Candy. "Don't ride the horse!", then suddenly Candy fell.
"Sister, someone is hurt!", someone cried out when Candy was found. It was Terry.
"Terry, what now...?", the sister said scared.
Terry: "Ah, Candy! Candy fell from the stairs, please give me the key to the clinic."
The sister gave him the key and went to find sister Grey.
Candy kept repeating Anthony's name: "Anthony...Anthony..."
Terry was taking care of Candy when he heard someone at the door. Sister Gray walked in and found Terry had gone out the window.
When Candy woke up, and as she was walking back to her room, she thought to herself "I felt someone wept away my tears...those soft hands..."
Terry was hiding behind a wall and saw her walking out the clinic. "She wasn't injured badly...that's my mountain girl!" "She kept on mentioning Anthony's name...who is he?"
The May Festival was approaching, and everyone was very excited. It will be Candy's first time at a festival. Candy wondered who her partner would be. "Terry...no, it can't be...Terry wouldn't come to this occasion now that a lot of people will be present. I'll invite Albert to come, and then uncle William..."
Patty had a problem. Taking care of pets is not allowed in the school, and she was caught with one. Patty went to Candy to ask for her help. Patty was told that she will not be participating in the May Festival.
Sister Gray told Patty that if she throws that turtle away, and stay in the attic, then she'll forgive her and let her be at the festival.
Then Candy interfered and told Sister Gray: "Why don't you ask her first why she took care of that turtle? Rules, rules! It's like a prison in this school!
