Module Two:
Building an Online Learning Community

Module emphasizes the importance of building an online learning community, as well as the need to think through the course in advance (building syllabi, materials and learning activities).

Module emphasizes how to use the Library and other Web Resources in order to build effective assignments in online classes.

Module Four:
Becoming the Online Professor

Module emphasizes practical applications such as grading assignments, giving exams, working with Portfolios, and uploading Web pages. Module also prepares participants to make shadow visits.

Written report of shadowing visit (maximum 3,000 words). Report to be submitted as Student to Student Assignment Folder in Tychousa Class in Week 5.

Stepping into Class

Module summarizes the points made during the course.  Here we tie up loose ends, complete activities, and begin to work toward building a first online class.

Create two (2) conferences in Nighthawk class using two separate teaching strategies. Due: End of Module Five.
