AGENDA: 6 JULY 1999

The Objectives for this Training session are to learn how to:
  1. evaluate ways of loading Course Content
  2. build Web pages using Word and Composer
  3. download, save, and edit a Web page template
  4. link pages and use directories
  5. find, save, and "re-use" images
  6. publish a Web page and its associated files using WS_FTP.
Since we are not able (in two and a half hours) to cover all the necessary skills for loading Course Content on the Web, we have selected four short workshops which we believe will benefit you the most.  For those who care to stay an additional half hour, we have included two short sessions (on Publishing to Polaris and Linking from WebTycho) from 8:30 to 9:00.

Further, there is an additional skill you should know: How to Copy/Paste Source Code. This exercise shows you how to load HTML Code without having to write HTML code.  You will use this skill during those times when it is appropriate to load Content in the WebTycho data base and NOT on the Web (Polaris).

NOTE: If you do not have a Polaris account, see How to Acquire a Polaris account, and How To Set Directories and Permissions in Polaris.  If you forgot your Polaris password, see Change Your Unix Password.
