Pond v. 3.3, same view, fish in different positions

We missed the opportunity to take a picture of Pond v. 3.2 with the filter box at the top of the stairs and the waterfall down the hill. Currently the Pond is being filtered by a bog filter in a trough at the top of the hill. Plants will go there to improve the filter capability, but currently it seems to be working very well and the birds love to bathe in it. There is still some black plastic that needs to be covered up on the cascade down the stairs, but all in due time. You can see the cattails in the far left portion of the pond, and Gyrth's irises thriving, on the right hand side, and needing to be split again. The small white out of focus blob is a water lilly in bloom.

Water lilly in bloom, as photographed by the Gravesend himself.

iced pond

Pond iced over before any accumulating snows hit.  A canopy of ice is formed over the waterfall and water continues to flow freely beneath it, and sometimes over it.  When last we saw the fish they were still alive and wiggling, just wintering.

snow covered pond

Pond with 6 inches or so of snow over it, 2/04.  Sadly you can't see the cute little animal prints on the snow on the pond.
