Yvorra Leadership Development Foundation
The organization was founded in 1988 in honor of Deputy Fire Chief James G. Yvorra, who was killed in the line of duty. Awards are normally in the amount of $1,500 each and may be used for special projects relating to leadership development or for tuition. Award winners announced each year in October.
Cumberland Valley Vol. Firemen's Assoc. Scholarship
Provides monetary assistance (up to $1,000) to an individual pursuing a degree in fire science, including arson investigation and related subjects, at a college or university of their choice. Also provides monetary assistance (up to $500) to an individual interested in pursuing a degree in Emergency Medical Service and related subjects at a college or university of their choice.

Edward A. Hamilton Firefighter Scholarship
Firefighters and dependents of firefighters who are either incoming students or currently enrolled at the University of Memphis and in need of financial assistance are invited to apply for the Edward A, Hamilton Firefighter Scholarship.
To apply for the scholarship contact the University of Memphis at 901-678-2716 and request an application form. The forms need to be filled out and returned to the University College at the University of Memphis by May 1 to be considered for this scholarship.
John Charles Wilson Scholarship
Scholarships are available to college students taking course work related to fire and arson investigation. Courses of study include fire science, law enforcement, forensics, law, fire engineering and other related fields. Applications are due February 15 each year.
International Association of Fire Chiefs Foundation
Warren E. Isman Educational Grant
Provides a minimum of one $2,500 (USD) grant for one hazardous materials response team (maximum of five members) to register for specialized training at one national hazardous materials conference each year. Any established hazardous materials incident response team from a fire department, police department or other public-funded program may apply. Click here for detailed information.
Maryland Higher Education Commission
Reimbursement up to $4,550 is made one year after completion of courses in fire or EMT degree or certificate program. Maryland Residents Only. See website for more information.
National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Scholarship
Offers financial assistance for post-secondary education and training to spouses, children, and stepchildren of firefighters honored at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.

Standard Security Life Insurance Company of New York
Standard Security Life, in conjunction with the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs, offers the "Spirit of Volunteerism" scholarships. The scholarship program is open only to New York State volunteer firefighters and their children. Scholarships up to $2,000. This program is open to any active member of a recognized fire department in the State of Illinois.

Provides a minimum of one scholarship awarded per year of at least $5,000 (USD). Monies will be awarded to one or more undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a fire service or public administration program in either the United States or Canada.
