Programming with JavaScript - SkillSoft an Interactive Book
UMUC is initiating a service from SkillSoft, that offers what are
essentially interactive text books. We are among the first class to have this
service available. Please give SkillSoft a try. Also be sure to
complete a SkillSoft Evaluation form for each of the two learning
sections offered. These evaluations will help UMUC determine the value
of these SkillSoft texts.
Instruction for SkillSoft Participants
- To access the text go to
http://umuc.skillport.com
Note:
a. Suggest that you use IE 6.x for access. The SkillPort
material does not appear to be cross browser friendly.
b. SkillSoft is the name of the company and SkillPort
is the name used for access to the learning materials.

Your login name is the name you use for WebTycho access. Your
temporary SkillSoft password is listed in our WebTycho SkillSoft conference.
This password should be changed once you gain access. Click Login to SkillPort for access to your My Plan page.

To change your password click on the customize button
that you will find at the top of the entry page just below your name.
Then click Update your User Profile. Fill out the form presented.
- Once you gain access to the My Plan page you will see
two JavaScript links:
- JavaScript: Language Basics
- JavaScript: Scripting
Click on the go> to enter a lesson or the button
to
enter an information page. Access to a lesson evaluation form as well
as other informational links will be found here.
