CMST 398J: Programming with JavaScript, Course Objectives
At the completion of this course, students should be able to:
- create and validate forms for small business Web sites (competence in information technology)
- employ dynamic HTML for business applications (competence in information technology)
- design and evaluate cascading style sheets (competence in information technology)
- write new and analyze existing JavaScripts for optimum
cross-browser compatibility (competence in information technology and effective writing)
- recommend to Web site administrators JavaScripts to store and read
cookies (civic responsibility)
- articulate the security issues related to JavaScripts and analyze
existing JavaScripts and JavaSript applications for possible security
threats (civic responsibility)
- critically analyze existing JavaScript and JavaScript applications
and prepare written reports for management indicating areas for
improvement (competence in information technology)
- research and discuss the historical and current worldwide use of
JavaScript for business Web sites (civic responsibility)
