CMST 450 Overview
Guidelines
The guidelines for this class are quite simple. You need to prepare
and submit projects which your classmates and I will critique.
Assignments that are submitted late will not be accepted.
In addition, for you to be successful in this class, it is very
important that you read the material on
my CMST 450 site in-the-wild.
Feedback
I respond to EVERY e-mail message sent to my class account and to
every assignment submitted, usually within 24 hours. If for some reason
you do not receive a response from me it is your responsibility to let
me know about this communications failure.
I can be reached by e-mail to my class account or to the class mailing
list. I can also be reached via the Cafe conference on WebTycho or, if
all else fails, my backup Polaris e-mail account.
Issues
It is important for you to call 'issues' you may have with this class to
my attention immediately. After-the-fact complaints will not be effective.
Correct English
One additional point, though you are not directly being graded on your
English language skills, correct grammar and spelling does count.
First, if you cannot express what you want to say in a clear and
concise way, then others will not understand you. Ultimately, no
instructor can give you marks for what you meant to say, but didn't.
Second, people generally tend to tune out of an argument - no
matter how good - if they are distracted by the writer's bad spelling
and poor grammar.
