2. How to examine your cache.

I picked the following discovery from the ADV-HTML mail-list. It was included in a response to a question asked by Elliott Manley

Subject: How does cache work?

He asked: "Can anyone explain how caching works in Netscape and/or MSIE? What algorithm is used to generate the filenames - and how are the correct files found again so quickly among so many thousands of their friends?"

The only reply was from Remy Lebeau who explained, among other things, that:

Netscape offers a feature to make browsing these files easy. Just type "about:cache" (no quotes) into the address. You will be presented with a listing of every file in the cache, as well as information of these files, such as file size, cache name, and original URL address. You can also use the "about:image-cache" to list certain images (not all images are placed in this special cache, so you'll have to go through the regular cache to view them all), "about:global" to view a complete listing of every site you've visited (this can get EXTREMELY long), "about:plugins" to see what plugins are installed, "about:" to view information about Netscape itself.

Thanks Remy,

Elliott Manley

3. Web How-To.
A rather extensive listing of sources for Web page development guidance. Perhaps more than one can deal with.

http://goldray.com/webdesign/design_resources.htm

As with much you will find on the Web, some of this "guidance" is controversial. However it does make you think and "debate" your choices.

4. Logo Generators.
I've listed a number of sites that generate signs, logos and the like.
