Once a web site has been created, the customer has the option of contracting Online Data Solutions to provide the required maintenance. Maintenance requests to the web site can be communicated via electronic mail, postal mail, telephone, or some other communication means deemed appropriate.

The customer is expected to communicate to the Web Development Team the changes that are to be made to the site. As in the design of a web site, the customer may want to provide the following materials to make the maintenance effort more cost effective and to make the requested changes clearer.

• A site layout (flowchart) on 8 1/2 x 11 paper
  
• Each page of the site (as shown on the flowchart) should be defined in layout form on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and should include the following:
  • Layout of text
  • Location of logos
  • Location of tool bars
  • Layout and design of tool bars
  • Background colors
  • Text color
  • Sites the customer wishes to link to (URL's must be provided)

Note: Any photos and logos already scanned must be in GIF or JPEG format. However, Online Data Solutions can scan the customer's materials. Once a photo or logo is scanned, it does not necessarily mean that it is ready to be uploaded. The scan can require minor or major reworking. The customer may do this work on their own, request Online Data Solutions to upload as is, or request Online Data Solutions to rework the scan. Rework can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours.
