All web sites will be produced using the latest software and applying the latest technologies. There are basically two services that Online Data Solutions offers in regards to web development:

Custom Design & Development

The Web Development Team will layout and design a cutomer's web site from the ground up. This process involves custom design of graphics, logos, and layout of pages. The design and development process requires more time and creative input than Tailored Programming, and consequently, is a more expensive offering.

Tailored Programming

With this alternative to Custom Design and Development, the customer provides Online Data Solutions with a layout of how the web site should appear. Online Data Solutions then programs the site based on the layout. When requesting a tailored web site, the customer will be asked to provide certain materials.

The following items summarize the materials that will be requested from the customer and the associated costs that may arise as a result of tailored programming:

• A site layout (flowchart) on 8 1/2 x 11 paper
  
• Each page of the site (as shown on the flowchart) should be defined in layout form on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and should include the following:
  • Layout of text
  • Location of logos
  • Location of tool bars
  • Layout and design of tool bars
  • Background colors
  • Button colors/design
  • Text color
  • Sites the customer wishes to link to (URL's must be provided)

Note: Any photos and logos already scanned must be in GIF or JPEG format. However, Online Data Solutions can scan the customer's materials. Once a photo or logo is scanned, it does not necessarily mean that it is ready to be uploaded. The scan can require minor or major reworking. The customer may do this work on their own, request Online Data Solutions to upload as is, or request Online Data Solutions to rework the scan. Rework can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours.
