20% of grade -- Total 100 points

Each part of the project is worth the number of points given below. Faculty may allow student to resubmit projects that are worth less than 70 points. If annotations are plagiarized, project is subject to receive a 0.

Reference List

Reference list contains fewer than five items. Citations are incomplete, missing important elements such as article or journal title, date, page numbers, etc. OR are not formatted according to APA 6th edition style.

Reference list is not alphabetized. Citations contain all required elements, and are formatted according to APA 6th edition with some consistent errors (not italicizing volume number, etc.)

Annotations – content

Annotations summarize content rather than provide analysis and relevancy. Annotations do not address evaluation criteria such as author credentials; organizational or source bias; source quality; quality of references; etc.

Annotations address one or two aspects of the evaluation criteria and describe how the source applies to the research question. Annotations contain a summary of the material.

Annotations address most or all of the evaluation criteria and both make clear how the source material can be used to answer the research question. Annotations contain a good summary of the material.
